Online alarm clock for 1:24 am

Pulling yourself away from late-night packing is easier when 1:24 am marks the firm stopping point. Set the alarm for that minute so the final checks do not stretch towards 2:00 am and eat into the rest of the night. Your boots, layers, water and food can then be ready for an early drive to the Tongariro track at dawn.

A dawn departure leaves little room for an alarm that silently disappears before it is needed. Choose a clearly audible tone, start the browser alarm and check that its volume is suitable from where you will be resting. If the browser tab is closed or the device goes to sleep, the alarm cannot sound, which could put your Tongariro track departure behind schedule. A phone alarm makes a useful separate fallback for this early start.

Before leaving for the Tongariro trailhead, confirm the driving time from your actual overnight stop rather than relying on a daytime estimate. Roads may be quiet around 1:24 am, yet an unfamiliar route, darkness, roadworks or a planned fuel stop can still add time. Place your keys and packed gear together, allow a practical margin for the drive, and use the alarm as the point when preparation ends and the journey begins.
