The hour pages provide general editorial information about likely routines and planning considerations. They are not live transport, weather, emergency, legal, medical, employment or financial advice. Timetables, opening hours, school dates, road conditions and public-holiday arrangements can change by date and district. Check the responsible operator, school, council, MetService, Waka Kotahi or Civil Defence source before acting where timing or safety matters.

We take reasonable care with the material but do not promise that every page is complete, current, uninterrupted or suitable for a particular plan. Cook Strait sailings and domestic flights are weather-sensitive, so tight onward connections carry extra risk. Weather can vary sharply across ranges and between coasts even when places appear close on a map. The sun is strong even on cool or cloudy days, and outdoor plans commonly include shade, water and sunscreen.
