Terms of use
These terms govern use of the site's clocks, alarms, timers, stopwatch, countdowns, calendars, calculators, holiday material, and related pages. By using the site, a visitor agrees to use it lawfully and with reasonable care. If these terms are not accepted, the site should not be used. Additional notices shown beside a particular feature also apply to that feature.
Outputs are general informational results based on the input and the device environment. They are not legal, employment, medical, financial, navigation, meteorological, or emergency advice. A calculation does not determine a statutory period, leave entitlement, payroll outcome, school obligation, booking condition, or contractual deadline. Check the governing document and an appropriate official source or adviser.
The device supplies time, date, and time-zone information. Local civil time ordinarily changes between UTC+12 and UTC+13 in September and April. Results can be wrong for the intended purpose if the device zone is incorrect, if a target belongs to a city across the International Date Line, or if an ambiguous hour occurs during a clock change. The visitor is responsible for checking inputs, location, date, and output.
Browser alerts are not guaranteed. Tabs can close, hardware can sleep, batteries can fail, browser permissions can block sound, and Bluetooth can send audio somewhere it cannot be heard. Do not rely on the site as the only warning for medicine, cooking hazards, childcare, industrial work, emergencies, flights, ferries, examinations, or any event where a missed signal could cause loss, injury, or serious disruption.
Calendar and holiday pages can omit, change, or simplify information. Mondayised national holidays, regional anniversary days, teacher-only days, workplace shutdowns, and local observances require separate confirmation. Transport and weather information also changes independently. Check live operator, road, track, aviation, marine, and forecast sources before travel, especially for Cook Strait sailings and alpine routes.
Visitors must not interfere with operation, bypass access controls, introduce malicious code, overload infrastructure, scrape in a way that impairs service, misrepresent affiliation, or use the pages to violate another person's rights. Automated access must respect published technical controls and reasonable request rates. Content and software may be protected by intellectual-property rights and may not be republished as a competing service without permission.
The service may be changed, suspended, corrected, or withdrawn, and availability is not promised. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the site is supplied without warranties that every page will be continuous, error free, complete, or suitable for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Responsibility for loss is limited to the extent the law permits. Visitors should take practical steps to reduce foreseeable loss: verify consequential dates, retain records, supervise hazards, allow travel margin, test sound, and use an independent timing method. A visitor remains responsible for the device, connectivity, browser settings, and decisions made from an output. Read the visible labels and retain a copy of any consequential input and result. Check the current page and device settings before relying on an output. Where the law provides non-excludable protections, those protections continue to apply. Use the contact route shown for questions connected with this notice.
