Going to bed for a 11:42 am alarm

  • Asleep by 2:27 am — 6 full sleep cycles, about 9 hours
  • Asleep by 3:57 am — 5 full sleep cycles, about 7 hours
  • Asleep by 5:27 am — 4 full sleep cycles, about 6 hours

A sleep cycle runs about 90 minutes, and most people take around 15 minutes to drop off. Waking at the end of a cycle feels easier than waking in the middle of one.

Online alarm clock for 11:42 am

As you finish your ShakeOut training and prepare to leave, set the alarm for 11:42 am so packing up does not stretch into the next part of your day. The alert gives you a clear moment to collect your gear, say goodbye and head out, with 18 minutes remaining before 12:00 pm.

Your departure depends on the browser staying active until the chosen time. Check that the sound is audible, then leave this page running while you complete the session. Your ShakeOut training departure will have no alert if the browser is dismissed or your phone goes to sleep before 11:42 am, so use a separate phone alarm when you cannot keep it awake.

Leaving ShakeOut at 11:42 am puts the journey close to midday, when lunch stops, school-area activity or roadworks may add a few minutes to a New Zealand trip. Look at the route before training ends and allow time for walking to the car, finding the right bus stop or securing your bike. If arrival time matters, treat the alarm as the point to leave the venue rather than the point to start gathering your things.

Common questions

Can the alarm account for a public holiday or Matariki?

No. It sounds at the time you set and does not read school terms, regional anniversary days, Matariki dates, or public-holiday transport schedules. Check the relevant calendar and live operator timetable, particularly when a weekday service may be running less often.

Why might I not hear the alarm?

The tab may have been closed, the device may have slept or lost power, or audio may be muted, blocked, or routed to another speaker. Keep the page open, test browser permissions and volume, and use a separate dependable alarm if waking or meeting the time is critical.

Can I use the alarm as my signal to leave for a ferry or flight?

Yes, as a personal reminder, but it cannot see check-in requirements, queues, cancellations, Cook Strait wind, road closures, or delays on the way to the terminal. Confirm the operator's current advice and set the time with enough margin for the entire journey.

Is this alarm suitable for medicine, cooking, or safety checks?

It may be one reminder, but it cannot verify a dose, inspect food, or monitor a hazard. Follow the relevant instructions and supervise risks directly. Keep a reliable backup whenever a missed alert could affect health or safety, and check the device remains powered and audible.
