Closing either may stop the countdown or prevent its alert from being heard, depending on the phone and browser settings. If you need to check a place name or boating area, use another device or split-screen view so the running session remains undisturbed.

When the child or pupil needs another pass through the forecast, note where the first listening ended before restarting the countdown. Begin the second round from that point, or replay the section containing conditions they missed, rather than automatically repeating everything. This gives the next session a clear purpose and helps them compare updated details with their first notes.
