How to use the online alarm clock

This preset starts a countdown to a point one hour from now. It provides an immediate shared reference for a short task, departure, break, call, cooking step, or weekday plan.

The display runs in the device's local time and shows the remaining interval continuously. If the target is being shared with someone on the Chatham Islands or overseas, include the written local time to prevent an offset being mistaken for a delay.

Allow practical margin for school traffic, reduced evening buses, ferry check-in, roadworks, or a forecast change. The timer measures time precisely, but it cannot account for the trip or preparation around it. School terms, public holidays, and Mondayised observances can all affect what happens around the target.

When will the one hour countdown finish?

It finishes at a point one hour from now, calculated from the device's current local date, time, and time-zone setting.
